Must-Try Bubble Milk Teas in Davao City

By h3artinwander - February 16, 2019

Gone were the days when drinking tea is so boring. Who would have thought that adding milk in tea would create a perfect drink! Now Milk Teas come with different exciting flavors and one that I can’t resists are Bubble Milk Teas!

Bubble Milk Teas are teas with toppings like tapioca, pudding, fruit jelly, grass jelly and many more. I must say Milk Tea is one of my comfort food, comfort drink rather. I just can't simply resist its heavenly taste and refreshingly good flavor.

Thankfully Milk Tea shops are everywhere here in Davao City. And since, I do love Bubble Milk Tea, I'd like to share my thoughts of the Milk Teas that I enjoy.

Macao Imperial Tea (Cream Cheese Milk Tea)

I have tried a lot of milk teas but for me nothing beats Macao Imperial Tea’s Cream Cheese. It is exceptionally good! It is tea and dessert in one. The taste is perfectly balance. The cream cheese flavor does not overpower the flavor of the tea. I believe even non-milk tea lovers will fall in love with this milk tea instantly. Aside from that, they also have reusable and instragrammable cups.

Macao Imperial Tea (Cream Cheese with Macha)

Macau Imperial Tea’s Cream Cheese has always been my favorite so far. Needless to say, it’s on my top of the list in the line up of teas that they offer.

But this time, I want to surprise myself with another flavor that I haven’t tried. Something my taste bud is not accustomed with.  So I decided to try their Cream Cheese with Matcha. I just find it interesting how cream cheese and green tea mixed together would taste like. To my surprise, both flavors compliments each other perfectly, definitely a BANG! It has a bittersweet aftertaste though, but I wouldn’t mind it since I know that Macha is packed with healthy goodness!

This is a bit pricey, but it’s worth a try.

Price: Php 150 (regular size)

Chat Time (Thai Milk Tea)

What I love about Thai Milk Tea is its bittersweet taste, having only 30 percent sugar in it. I always choose the smallest percent of sugar available so I could still taste the tea, but of course you can always increase it to a 100 percent if you want a sweeter tea. Its ingredient includes star anise, true cardamom, cloves and black tea leaves which has health benefits for our body.

Gong Cha (Earl Grey with 3 J's)

Earl Grey w/ 3Js is Gong Cha’s best seller milk tea. 3J means that you can choose 3 different toppings. I always choose pearl because it is really fun to chew, pudding and herbal jelly. It is really delicious having these three toppings on it but I suggest a less percent of sugar because these three jellies are already sweet.

Teas are really calming and refreshing. It is always a perfect drink after a hard day’s work or just having a treat for yourself!
